Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, also referred to as Ashanti, was born on 13 October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is a US singer songwriter. Ashanti was discovered as an teen and signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. Ashanti was featured in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that same year.
